In life it doesn’t always go as planned

Reality can be harsh

When you’re young all you want to be is an adult

Especially when you’re a teenager

You can’t wait to stop following rules and obeying curfews

You want to get your own money

Your own apartment

Your own car, your own tribe

Then you become an adult and realize being a kid was the best

Adults are confused and manipulative

People are so selfish and no one actually cares about your interests unless it benefits them

Your family can be difficult to deal with

Your work sucks and you can barely afford money for a road trip let alone the traveling you always dreamed of

You realize that you may have been so protected or so damaged that either way the world is not what you expect

It’s either harder than you imagined or for once there are some kind souls out there

And then you realize it’s not just you, literally everyone is stuck on something

That’s just life
